We are so excited to finally be able to open our doors again. However, until further notice we have to comply with the rules set out in the Government guidance for gyms and leisure centres to be able to reopen safely.
To avoid any confusion, we have outlined below the changes we will be making and what to expect from Peak when we reopen:
1. All training sessions will be by appointment only
We have a maximum of 5 spaces per hour so you must book your slot. You can do this via the following link https://peakfitness.ezfacility.com/ if for any reason you struggle to use this then you can email us on admin@peakhealth.fitness or telephone the gym on 01822 611061 to book your slot. This applies to members and pay as you go. Please do not turn up without booking or you will not be able to train. You will need to have an active membership to book online, or non-members that have been to the gym before can use the system to book and pay for their session. We request that members do not book back to back sessions so that everyone has the opportunity to use the gym.
2. You must wait outside the gym to be let in by a member of staff
A member of the team will open the door on the hour. You will then have 45 mins to train and will be required to leave promptly so that we can ensure the gym is cleaned down ready for the next training session.
3. Please sanitise on arrival and place items in the boxes provided
There will be hand sanitiser at the desk to use upon arrival. Please use this before signing in. We ask that you come ready to train. To avoid using lockers we will have lidded boxes to place your belongings in located at reception. Please place your items in the box before using the gym.
4. Toilets will be open but ask that changing rooms are avoided where possible
To reduce the number of people using the changing rooms at anyone time, we ask that you come ready to train. If you are unable to do so due to work commitments, then the changing rooms will still be in use.
5. Shower and sauna will not be in use
6. The water fountain will be available for refilling bottles only (mouthpiece will be taped off). Bottled water will be available for purchase at reception.
7. Kit to be cleaned after each use
We ask that all members help keep the gym clean and use the spray bottles and blue roll provided at the cleaning stations.
8. No walk in’s
We will not be allowing walk in’s into the gym. If you have not been to the gym before, you can sign up online (red “Join Us” tab on the home page), pay your fee and watch the online induction video. Once you have done this, you must contact us to book in your first session either by phone or email. There is also a 360 video tour on the website so that you can view the gym without having to visit.
9. Our opening times will also temporarily be changing
We will now be open Monday-Friday from 8am until 8pm and Saturday 9am until 2pm. We will be closed on Sunday for a weekly deep clean.
10. Regarding the use of PPE
Our staff will be offered the use of PPE should they wish. It is not compulsory. We also do not recommend the use of masks in a gym environment where you will be physically exerting yourself and restricting your oxygen levels. However, should you wish to use a mask in the gym you do so entirely at your own risk and we accept no liability for any injuries sustained.
11. If you feel ill, do not come into the gym
Please be respectful of our staff and members and have the decency not to train if you feel unwell.
