Tony joined our fitness family in September this year. Upon reaching 44 and weighing 20 stone, Tony was plagued by a number of health related issues so decided that it was time to change and began exercising at Peak up to 6 days per week.
Currently, Tony is working on improving his cardiovascular fitness and losing weight. Having never really used a gym before, or taken part in any regular physical activity his fitness has gone from strength to strength.
Since joining our fitness family at Peak in September, Tony has lost a massive 1 stone and 9 pounds! We are so proud of him and the amazing effort he has put in to lose weight and improve his fitness. This has taken a huge amount of discipline to change his lifestyle and he is using his fitness journey to inspire others and raise money for a great cause.
Below are images of Tony on Day 1 and Day 30 of his journey:
Tony has also made a dramatic change to his eating habits. His old diet consisted of high fat, processed foods (such as takeaways) and a lot of alcohol. However, since beginning his fitness journey, Tony has given up alcohol and now counts his calories and macros and eats a good nutritious diet of whole foods and unprocessed, clean meals.
Tony is putting his fitness journey to good use and is trying to raise awareness and funds for Finley’s Wishes & Dreams. He is hoping to lose 5st 7lbs in 6 months in aid of a 4 year old boy called Finley, who sadly has a very rare, life-limiting brain disorder – SCN2A (Sodium Channel brain disorder). This means that Finley cannot walk, talk, sit, eat or drink. He requires around the clock care and has uncontrollable epilepsy. Finley requires very specialist equipment to provide his care and Tony is hoping that the funds he raises contributes towards Finley’s specialist equipment.
Each month, we will be tracking Tony’s progress and helping him to reach his goals (and then kick the hell out of them!). We would very much appreciate you liking and sharing our Tracking Tony blogs and social media updates and any positive support and feedback for Tony is very much welcomed.
