So, you’ve joined the gym, your mindset ready and you’re ready to obliterate your goals BUT you have no idea what to wear? You come to the gym to train, it isn’t a catwalk so don’t be a fool and wear jeans.
Stick to something simple and generic, you don’t need anything extravagant.
Let’s work from the top half, down!
Cotton, dri-fit, polyester t-shirts will all do the job. It doesn’t have to be a well-known, pricey brand. As long as it fits, and you can freely move your limbs, you can train in it!
For both men and women jogging bottoms, leggings and a pair shorts will be adequate. Slimmer fitted joggers rather than flares would be considered ideal as they don’t get caught on anything plus shows off definition!
Dress appropriately according to the weather too, gyms can be a sweat box so on a scorching hot day, leggings and a pair of shorts is a no go zone.
Shoe wear is essential for when training. Based on what your goals are and how you go about achieving them, the right sneaks are your forte. If you are more of a cardio person and are glued to the treadmill, you’d want a springier sole to support your joints where as if you lift heavy and squat often a thick and solid sole (also known as lifters) is the one for you. The theory behind lifters is that they allow you to drive with all your power to perform maximum lifts.
